As a result of the digital revolution, fashion films have become increasingly popular on online platforms, be they magazines or specialized channels, which transformed how fashion is mediated. The aesthetic possibilities of this new type of media phenomenon have led many designers to experiment with many types of content, which oscillate between branded content, arthouse shorts and video-art. This new democratic tool of communicating a brand’s ethos, makes the fashion moving image accessible to a global audience and it’s generating new consumption behaviours and contributing to the development of a fashion-literate public.
